If an emergency occurs within your new home, please notify Starlane Homes as soon as possible.

You must also report the emergency in writing to the Starlane Head Office.

The following are considered an emergency;

1. Total loss of heat between September 15 and May 15

a) Make sure the furnace filter is clean

b) Check to see if the breaker is in the ON position

c) Ensure that the thermostat is set to heat

d) Turn the thermostat settings to 30°C or 80°F and listen to see if the furnace comes on

e) Make sure the gas valve has not been shut off at the furnace or at the meter outside

If you have attempted all of the above and your furnace still does not work properly, please call the emergency number listed on your furnace sticker

7. Major Collapse of Any Part of the Home's Exterior or Interior Structure

Please call your insurance company and notify Starlane Homes immediately.

8. Major water penetration of the interior walls or ceiling

9. A large pool of standing water inside the home

10. Any situation where, in the opinion of TARION, the home is uninhabitable for health or safety reasons
